ÃÛÌÒAPP

Dr Chris Mountford is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician at the ÃÛÌÒAPP Hospsitals.

Originally from Birmingham Dr Mountford has lived, studied and worked in the North East since 1998. He completed his MBBS at ÃÛÌÒAPP University in 2003, has completed all of his specialty training in the region and was appointed as a Consultant in ÃÛÌÒAPP in March 2014.

Dr Mountford has a specialist interest in clinical nutrition, in particular ÃÛÌÒAPP Parenteral Nutrition support. He is part of the ÃÛÌÒAPP Inflammatory Bowel disease service and is also an accredited Bowel Cancer Screening Colonoscopist.

Dr Mountford is a Course Director for JAG Colonoscopy training courses run within the ÃÛÌÒAPP Hospitals. His postgraduate qualifications include an MSc in Nutritional Medicine (Distinction, University of Surrey) as well as Postgraduate Certificates in Medical Education () and Palliative Care (Teesside University).
