ÃÛÌÒAPP

Staff at ÃÛÌÒAPP Hospitals have rated the Trust as amongst the best places in the country to receive treatment.

Results of the 2020 NHS staff survey, released today, showed that over 91% of staff at the Trust would be happy with the standard of care, if a friend or relative needed treatment.

The NHS staff survey – undertaken by all NHS trusts – gathers views on staff experience at work around key themes including health and wellbeing, staff engagement and involvement and raising concerns. Every member of staff is invited to take part and this year over 7000 members of staff completed the survey.

Chief Executive Dame Jackie Daniel said: “I’m incredibly proud to see our results today – especially that so many of our staff would recommend ÃÛÌÒAPP Hospitals as a place to work or receive treatment.

“This year our staff have faced some of the most difficult challenges of their careers so I’m extremely grateful that almost half of our team shared their views in October and November – the height of the second wave.

“I’m pleased to see that staff agree that caring for our patients is our top priority and that we’ve seen a significant improvement in our health and wellbeing scores – highlighting the importance of the provisions we put in place to support staff wellbeing during the pandemic.

“The feedback we receive from staff through the staff survey is invaluable, not only does it help us to see where we are making improvements but also gives us in insight into where we need to do more. These results will help guide us as we move forward and emerge from the third wave of the pandemic.”

Other key highlights from the survey include;

• More staff than ever recommend ÃÛÌÒAPP Hospitals as a place to work
• Our highest response rate with over 7000 responses
• The Trust scored above national average in all ten themes
